Nepean Concrete Industries Pty Ltd (NCI) was founded (in its original form) by Domenic Garofali in 1958. After joining the company in 1987, Carlo Garofali became a Director in 1991, Managing Director in 1999, and Sole Director in 2001. Prior to NCI, Carlo Garofali was engaged as a project engineer for Concrete Constructions for a year, post-graduation, with involvement on building projects in Canberra, Parramatta and Sydney CBD.

The company currently focuses in servicing local government and other government instrumentalities (Blacktown, Baulkham Hills, Holroyd, Parramatta and Hawkesbury Councils, AGL, RTA, as well as Hornsby, Camden, Liverpool and Strathfield Councils, and Integral Energy in recent times). The company has recently served companies such as Paynter and Dixon, St Hilliers, AW Edwards and Abigroup Road Maintenance. It has historically been active in larger scale industrial and commercial projects. Past clients include Westfield, Multiplex, Concrete Constructions, Stocks & Holdings, Girvan and Mirvac, amongst others. The company has had much involvement in domestic concreting. Home builders the company has served include Mirvac Homes, Long, Jandson, Hooker, and Westminster Homes, amongst others.
